About the Role
This winter, we're seeking temporary hires to join our team for snow shoveling and blowing services. Ideal candidates should possess physical fitness, some relevant experience, and the ability to be available 24/7 throughout the winter season.
Here are the details regarding our schedule and compensation: Starting pay is $20 per hour for most candidates, with a six-hour minimum. This means that qualified candidates will receive compensation for a six-hour shift, even if the actual work is 1-2 hours. This practice is common during minor snowstorms or when applying ice melt before freezing temperatures. Our employees can anticipate assignments on Aquidneck Island and should be prepared to comply with security restrictions at Naval Station Newport if necessary. Applicants should be able to:
Lift 75lbs.
Work in all weather conditions, including blizzards.
Have their own reliable transportation.
Have a valid drivers license.
Have some experiecnce in hands-on work, and has operated a snow blower.
Can operate snow blowers and power snow tools.
